Good reviews? I am looking at getting a Canon T2i... and getting it from B&H online is about $120 less expensive than the local stores. And their guarentee (option to purchase for extra cost) looks just as good as the store I've purchased lenses from. Should I go with them?
I got mine from Sam's Club. I have had it for about two months...or so. I am happy with mine so far...but I am just learning... had a P and S before this.
I ordered a camera body from B+H on a Friday night here in Queensland, Australia and it arrived on my doorstep on Tuesday Morning. Awesome service and it was fun to watch the progress as it left New Jersey and travelled through a few states in the US including Hawaii and then through to Sydney, Brisbane and to my door.
I've purchased other things from them and they are prompt and have no problem with returns in case you don't care for something. Can I ask why you don't go with a T3i??? Also...Amazon.com is speedy with no shipping, too, and we pay no tax for our purchases from them in IL. Might want to check it out. They're usually very competitive price-wise.
@debsphotos - well, from what I was able to tell... the T2i and the T3i are very similar, except for the swivel screen and the remote flash feature on the T3i... I'm thinking that those features aren't something I will need / use, so I'm trying to save money. BUT, I will say... I haven't decided 100%. Probably won't decide until the minute I order it ;)
and... I will check Amazon too, though I'm not sure they offer the guarentee that B&H does.
I did not order from them, but I did find a dealer for my camera on Amazon out of Brooklyn or Long Island, New York and I could not have been happier due to the following things;
I was required to call my credit card prior to purchase and record that I was buying a camera from them for approximately that much money.
They called to confirm my order
They made sure that I knew I was ordering the body only and not a kit
They did offer me some extra cards and batteries for a price.
It was on my desk in less than on week of ordering.
I had 30 days return and would only be charged a restocking fee if there was nothing wrong.
I really liked the service they provided that I would never have gotten from a larger place.
@brumbe
I ended up with a local store that price-matched what I found! YAY! :) And you're right - the service was great (I knew it would be - I had purchased lenses from them before). Thanks for the tip!

Yes, everyone convinced me to try B&H :) I couldn't order the camera this time, because I discovered that I needed it this weekend for a last minute photo shoot. However, I will try B&H in the future!
Awesome! I've heard good things... but wanted a few first-hand experiences. Thanks :)
Thats what I did with my Rebel XS - just jumped in 2 years ago and started learning... LOVE it!
