I am brand new (started 2 days ago) and I really look forward to learning, receiving comments, and picking up tips as my skills grow. How do I connect with others on this site to interact?
I started this in order to get “refocused” on my interest in photography, “forcing” myself to put one of my cameras in my hands daily. This opposed to the when I make a trip for photography. My hat’s off to the folks at 365 Project.org for promoting, supporting, and encouraging all of us to engage in our passion of photography!
While I’m an avid outdoor photographer and schedule my vacations around this interest, I’m inspired by Michael Frye’s: “Fine Art Landscape Photography”. Michael’s work and Yosemite great photo opportunities drive me. I’ve intentionally limited myself on this project to “my half acre of the world” (except when on travel, no special trips to cover this project) to find opportunities in my own yard and home to capture and post for your viewing. Hopefully as the year goes by the images improve :)
You’ve have to forgive it I (a) miss a day or two, (b) slip in some amazing images of my travels or my love of Yosemite. Yosemite being my true love (as well as many others) of this place we call (earth) home. A bucket list item indeed!
Ps… My other love is motorcycles so please expect a few pictures of those as well.
Welcome to 365. It's a very fun site, full of very nice people.
Comment on other's photos. Follow other people. Post in some of the topics. Enjoy yourself and remember it's your project, you make of it what you want to make of it.
@myhrhelper@blindeye go find people to follow from popular page, new users, trolling other peoples followers....dont limit yourself to following a few people if you want to really connect. I dont mean you have to go crazy and follow a couple hundred people or anything...just those that catch your eye or inspire you. After that everything everyone else said def makes the experience on here. You truly get out what you put in. And remember, the search bar is your friend! :)
Thank you so much for the suggestions! I will certainly add followers, comment on photo's and go to popular pages, etc. These are all great suggestions. I know i will enjoy this site - maybe too much!
Welcome to you both! 365 is a tremendously supportive site if you participate. If you follow people or just see a photo that strikes your fancy, be sure to comment on people's photos. People are most likely to comment on your photos and interact with you if you're commenting on their photos.
