Surprises, bombs and mishaps.

I'm sure we all have them, a moment where you have the perfect frame and something jumps in it at the wrong time, or a moment where you discover something extra in a frame you didn't realise was there until you downloaded it. Let's share these moments here where we can laugh, cry and whine.

In this one a bush turkey decided to take off over the brook just as I took the shot.

In this one I thought I was jut getting the horses, much to my surprise there are deer back in the trees that I didn't notice.

@shirljess wow.. A great addition to an already stunning capture.

I didn't realise there was a memory card under the lens until after I uploaded it onto my computer and played around with the brightness.

Did not see the downy woodpecker streaking through this still shot of another downy.
April 20th, 2012
I accidentally caught a cyclist in my cider :)

April 20th, 2012
I had missed the one that was going, and didn't realise there was one coming!
April 20th, 2012
I loved this picture of my daughter, until I realized I ended up making an appearance in the shot -.-

*sigh*

I thought I had a cute picture of my puppy Bennett... until I pulled the image from the camera and noticed his sister Adira adding her own #2-cents. I had been taking shots of Bennett all day, so I guess she just had to give her opinion :)

@sdpace Hahaha that's great! I mean, awful!! People always are in my way at concerts too!
April 20th, 2012
I thought I had taken a photo of a pretty flower, but on upload and a bit of zoom I also found the spider and the fly. Nicely surprised.
April 20th, 2012
these flowers are so tiny, i didn't expect the shot to be this clear. but what surprised me was the even tinier insect on the petal.

April 20th, 2012
@lorihiro :)
@sugarmuser Haha, "doozie" is a nice way of putting it :)
April 20th, 2012
@lorihiro I think this adds a lot of interest to your photo (even though it is a lovely flower and detail and all)!
April 20th, 2012
@shutterbugger Great capture though :)
April 20th, 2012
@floriandra Yep, we get our heads in reflective surfaces all the time.
April 20th, 2012
The only one in my album. To my favour, otherwise it wouldn't be there.
April 20th, 2012
@mastermek It's a good one, love this little green fellow
April 20th, 2012
This Our poodle Kiomi and she wasn't suppose to be part of the picture. I was taking a picture of that green spot on the bottom right. It was a 4 leaf clover my daughter found.
April 20th, 2012
I didn't realize you couldn't take long exposures during the day (dumb, I know, but I'm a beginner!) particularly with snow (doubly dumb) so this wasn't exactly the outcome I expected, but it did come out pretty cool in a way! I've finally bought myself a ND filter so that I can do them properly :)

April 20th, 2012
@grizzlysghost Hahaaa - I took a lovely picture of my dog's head profile but I can't enjoy it because I know why he was still enough to take it!!
April 20th, 2012
@judithg Oh NO! That's terrible Judith! LOL
April 20th, 2012
I was bombed by 7 TINY baby aphids on this one. I saw the mom, but didn't see the babies until processing!

April 20th, 2012
Didn't realize that the fisherman would make this shot...
April 20th, 2012
Didn't realize the said of the truck said wrooom before reviewing the shot
April 21st, 2012
The shadows are actually the bars of this owl enclosure at the zoo, but I think it adds a nice dream-like effect

April 22nd, 2012
