365 has been deluged with challenges lately! I know many of us enjoy taking part in them because they spur on our creativity, stretch us to shoot more than the typical pictures, and they're just plain fun! But many times they conflict as well. I think the Artist Challenge is one such challenge that fell prey to being in the mix with too many other challenges. Therefore I'd like to give everyone another opportunity to join in with the 8 wonderful photographers who've already entered a shot. The artist this time around is Pierre Auguste Renoir and the pictures so far have been great. The extension date will have the challenge run until Tuesday evening, 12PM EST. All pictures submitted up to that time should have the tag: ac-renoir
Ann I'm glad you posted this as a reminder and extended the time. I think it is a great challenge that I would hate to see disappear. If I can I will try to participate too. Renoir is such a great artist and one of my favorites, not too long ago there was an exhibit of his works that I was able to see - wow! Now I have some ideas, thank you for not giving up on this!

I think I'm going to email Ross about setting up a distinct section on the "board". There's just too many "Do you like my photos?" and other chatty posts that bump off the challenges. I don't have a problem with those, I just wish there weren't so many of them at times! What do you think? Is that a good idea? Or even possible?
I think it would be helpful to have people post their photos on the original thread. The "discussions" keeps them at the top. I will post mine there to help.
@myhrhelper Good idea Kathy- maybe I'll see if I can copy and paste the entries in the update later. I have to head out now, but that's worth trying. I'd like to keep it on there until the challenge runs out at least.
@olivetreeann Hi Ann I found out that Richard Tyson opened the Artist Challenge Account so he would be the one to get in contact to get your challenge on it's profile
@wenbow Thanks Wendy- actually the challenge is done and I am in the process of deciding the top 5. There are 3 that I keep going round and round with! I think I am going to call in my "guest judge" tonight (Jeff my husband) and have him break the tie.
@olivetreeann It's a hard job picking finalists, I thought it was a bit too late to get it on that profile. Maybe the next host can organise it now that we know who runs the profile
