So, a few weeks back, I asked folks to scroll through their photos and post one of their personal "faves" that received "little" or "no" attention from the general 365 public. I think is is fascinating how "our" fave is not always the "fave" of others -- most often it's just about timing and whatever is going on with everyone's lives -- but here is a new version of the theme...please post your FAVE from last weeks photos that you felt did not get the attention it justly deserved. I can't WAIT to see what you post...so EOTB (eye of the beholder) for the week of 9/1 - 9/15/12. Go, on...STRUT YOUR STUFF!!!
Okay, here is my fave from last week..I think it's a good shot...but moreover...I think it is so stinkin' funny and cute...I laugh when I see it...I hope I'm there with them at that age...
I thought this one was PP material for sure, but although I did get some nice comments and a couple of favs, I really thought it would be more well received!
@pschtyckque Chris, I'm going to guess that it is because so much of your photography is bright -- snappy -- action -- the unusual...this is more pedestrian compared to your others...so when one is scrolling through your shots...they move to the next one with the crazy kid with pink hair or the boats or old hotels that are abandoned...am I making sense?
@shamrockinmom You are making sense. The photo right before the lady with the pink hair is also a woman sitting on a bench in the shade. But quite different in tone. And thanks for the compliment on my photography being bright and unusual. I do accept that as praise. :-D
This one has gotten some attention this week, but not what I expected. I was actually hopping up and down when it worked the way I wanted it to and thought it would go wild on here. I actually made the PP for the first time this week, but with something else :D
At the country show last weekend, this soap bubble drifted above my head as we were leaving; it had all the park reflected in it and sat against the clear blue, September sky... :shrug: It make me smile.
I was so excited to capture my first "real" lightning photo. I would liked to have seen some more comments, but I'm just happy I was finally able to get this long-awaited shot. :)
I started a little while ago and I don't have any followers beyond a friend who convinced me to come on the site but this one is definitely my favorite.
This one I thought turned out cute... granted it was a lot brighter and colors we're prettier before I uploaded. Not sure why it did that. But no comments
I know it is a bit on the creepy side (which wasn't the original intention of this shot) but I thought this was one of my best shots from this year and though it has 20 views, it only has 3 comments.
@shamrockinmom
@darrenellis Darren -- incredible shot!
@welcometocarolworld Beautifully done Carol -- as always!
To me it has a real 3D effect, but there was no mention of that.
@munchkin84 Wow! Beautiful.
@mikehamm I agree -- I like the 3d and the starkness...nice when going large when viewing.
Not much response to this one. I thought it was so unusual that the smoke in the air actually created a rainbow of sorts on the horizon
