Yes I did it, I went back to film. As from this month my main album will be analogue. Hope to keep it like that for 365 days!
I'm happy with the first results, and there is so much more to learn. Do you still shoot on film? Show me here if you like.
Love film, watch that you use the tag film-lives to be included in the ongoing film photos uploaded to the site. And keep an eye out for RIAD and film-lives-1 challenges which aim to shoot a roll in a day or a week.
I bought my Canon 500 35mm on Ebay for £26! Bargain. I love the colours using film creates. I agree with @anzere03 would take many more pictures if it was cheaper!! Here is one of my favourite film pictures. Taken on a long exposure.
@staci2171 When I started with film again last July, friends and family started to gif away there camera';s So my collection is growing. Don't think you are old fashion at all!
@maaikel Nice, I miss film…maybe I should rethink in trying out film again. Where does one process their film here in the Netherlands? I live close to Eindhoven.
@maaikel I should do really, it makes me a bit sad when I think i've still got about 40 undeveloped films where I couldn't afford to run it.....I do fully intend to get them developed, I just couldn't cope throwing them away as they hold all my first SLR photography and I reckon it would be like christmas if I got at least some images out of it. This site is inspiring me in so many ways, and the thought of dusting off the old SLR is filling me with smiles :)
@maaikel wow....love that bus! How exciting too! I was thinking of risking one of my old rolls of film to try and scan it on the flat bed scanner.....have you ever attempted it?
It took me ages to move to digital but I couldn't move back. I couldn't afford to for a start. Mind you at least you could change a lens on a film camera without worrying about getting dirt on the sensor.
I find that I shoot completely different with my film camera than with my DSLR. My film is much brighter and street photography where as my digital is definitely darker and more of my attempt at being artsy.
i enjoy buying old film cameras and taking them out to see if they even work, most do. but i am too hooked on the instant results of digital to go back completely. olympus OM-1 here.
Congrats Maaikel. Looks great. Just found my old Pentax K1000 a week or two ago. Doing a week of film myself. Have to agree with everyone else though, wish it wasn't so expensive.
This was taken yesterday with 15 year old film.

I shot several rolls of film this summer, I forgot how much I missed it.
