I'm interested. I've got a few medium format vintage cameras I use and just got an AE-1. My husband came home from work today and said his co-worker had another canon 35mm that he'd give me. I'm guessing an older rebel maybe. So I've got a few things I'd like to play with purposefully. :)
I'd love to too, what are the restrictions with posting and developing - it's the one thing I'm finding difficult to organise . Do polaroids count, and alternative processes like cyanotypes? Sorry if they seem like stupid questions but new here ! :)
@ingrid2101 I'd say anything goes, as long as it's film. I might try some different techniques as well that I've been curious about :) I will also definitely include some polaroids and cross-processing, maybe even build a matchbox pinhole camera :)
to post everyday in February (or the 15 days I am here, I will personally start shooting this week so I have time to develop and scan. I only print on Tuesdays and am averaging two photos in three hours. Film makes it a challenge to do every single day and post every single day. Remember this is your project and you are entitled to do it how it works for you. No one will yell at you if you post five photos from one roll that was taken ahead of time. @ingrid2101
I'm excited so many people want to do the film challenge again! I think we should use the tag Peter suggested: filmfebruary13. And I'd love to see the camera and film used for each photo. I'm not very good at organizing challenges, so let's make it a group effort.
I'm in ... probably. I don't want to put myself in a position where I'm uploading large batches because that just winds people up. But it's a good opportunity to give a few different cameras an airing. :-D
My fm2 is all cleaned and ready to go, been waiting for a chance to get outside to use it. developing b/w might be a bit of a problem for me, I will have to send it away. but sounds like a perfect time to get started. I am in!
So I went out with the camera today, and lol I kept forgetting to advance the film so I would be all set up ready for a shot and then would have to wind it up :P I have not used this camera in a good 20 years, but I am hoping it will be like riding a bike. :D
Friday is the first of February and the beginning of Film February! Tag your photos filmfebruary13. Be sure to check out the film photos others are posting and comment on them.
@sunshinephoto5 I have the same problem when I go back to a film camera! I usually use my Pentax K1000 which has a broken light meter, so I have to do everything manually. It sure makes me think about each exposure.
I am in ... I will post pics on days taken ... But probably only post once or twice a week ... I have ta send my film off to be developed ... Who knows ... Might try and start developing after a bit of Research ... Peace ...

Ingrid asked about restrictions, and I suggest we follow the 365 guideline that it's your project to do in your own way, as long as it's film and not digital. The general guidelines suggested last year are found here, if anyone is interested: http://365project.org/discuss/themes-competitions/10573/film-photography-challenge-begins-february-1.
Commercial processing is obviously a factor for most of us, so there will be delays in posting. That's just part of the nature of film....
Fantastic so many are in. @eudora you may want to do another announcement/thread early next week. This thread has already slid back from view.
