I love the idea of seeing as opposed to just looking at objects, so when my fellow tea lovers @momsta and @sianipops challenged me to the Teabag challenge, I was immediately intrigued by the idea of trying to make something as overlooked as a teabag into something with a story. The photos that were entered were so creative and I was just about swept off my feet with surprise when I won, which is why i chose to make my mundane object a BROOM (in the singular or plural)
Even though Halloween in not widely celebrated here, I thought that a broom is a suitably mundane and challenging object with a relevant twist to it that may fire your creative spark but, before you grab the camera & head off for the kitchen, read below for more details:
The mundane theme was started by Aaron @grizzlyghost, for those of us who may have lost inspiration. He suggested we take an ordinary, boring object and start shooting it. Turn the ordinary into the extraordinary!
You are free to use any photographic technique you like to capture this everyday object. The only rule: there can be no question THE OBJECT OF THE CHALLENGE IS THE STAR!
The challenge officially STARTS Thursday 31st October and ENDS on Friday 8th November. I'll then pick the finalists shortly after this date and voting will begin :o)
