First off Congratulation to the winner of b2b space: Beautiful Balloons by @cazann

This week we come to VALUE

Moving on down the chart, we come to one I'm not even sure I completely understand, let alone consider in my photography so this week may be interesting. Anyone else with more knowledge or who can find anything like this article please feel free to share.

When you make your photos while thinking about value this week remember to tag them "b2b-value" and post some here to share with everyone.

Have fun.

This is one with my interpretation

from looking at the 3 examples in the chart above, it looks to be a picture with lots of different shades of the same colour? I think that's my take on it.

@melodicmysteries Thanks for posting those articles, Rachel. That first one was really interesting.

was going to pass this week, but think perhaps today's post might qualify. I think I understand it theoretically, but not sure I can carry it out in practice. I guess that's what it takes, practice, practice, practice.

I really think this topic is interesting. One of the articles really stressed the greyscale and a color's relative light or darkness specific to photography. Another article talked about value as a design concept. This picture I did based on the design concept with a pop of color. I'm thinking of a set up to explore the greyscale for photographs. Not sure if this is close the the goal or not. These are good challenges.

interesting!, I think I did it in this shot without knowing it, I liked how the silhouettes were so dark compared to the background, and emphasised this with processing contrast. thinking about this puts me in mind of art lessons where in drawing, if something is rendered mid to light tones it recedes, whereas if you want something to stand out forward, make the contrast really strong.

And mine...

Interesting articles too by the way. Not something I have really thought about much before.
