So this is the Rawcomp round 6 competition. Download the file below, edit it to your liking and then upload back to 365. Modifying colors, brightness, hue/sat, contrast, crop, etc are all options.
The file is in DNG format for ease with opening with PS, Elements, etc. If you desire to work with the Sony raw file, please post a note to me in this thread and I'll add another download link. Note- the sony raw takes the latest Camera Raw update from Adobe.
For those of you using Photoshop and Camera Raw, notice that this comes up as a Process 2010 image. You might want to change this to Process 2012 (in the Camera Calibration for example) to get the much more powerful and coherent tonal corrections if you have versions later than 5.
I cannot download this...I get a bunch of lines and characters when I click on it that took me 2 minutes to get my computer to stop working so I could go back! I have a Mac. @frankhymus@beatnikphoto
@lynnb@justaspark I just downloaded and opened this on my macbook pro. It worked. Try this, press"Control" when clicking on the link and select "download linked file"
@lynnb@justaspark I should have asked, is this occurring when you start the download or when opening the file afterwards? If it is after, try holding Control while opening the file and choose "Open with." Browse to Lightroom or PS. Sorry for the inconvenience.
@beatnikphoto It occurs as soon as you click the link. Like @justaspark, I'm running Win 7 64-BIT and Firefox. As soon as you click the link, it hangs the browser.
@kannafoot As much as I hate to give Microsoft an ataboy, Firefox doesn't perform for me at all. Internet Explorer 11 has a lot going for it on Windows 7.
@frankhymus I've been reluctant to make that plunge since I've heard a lot of compatibility horror stories with IE 11. (Microsoft has never been noted for downward compatibility.) Since it's not my primary browser, though, it may be worth a look.
@kannafoot try a different browser or from Firefox "right click" on the link and select "Save Link As" It should prompt you with a window to save the file. Once downloaded, navigate to the file using explore and open.
I see on the export to DNG I set the compatibility to "Camera Raw 5.4 or later". Perhaps this did it.
i use win7 and firefox btw :D
Does that work?
Should work.
:o)
great picture!
