@susale@nanderson and I have had some fun the last few days editing photos that were taken by each other. First Suse and Nancy exchanged shots, then I was invited to play with Suse today.

So I thought, why should we have all the fun? If you'd be interested in exchanging edits, maybe on a weekly or just a monthly basis, please let me know in this thread and I will see what I can do. My idea would be to pair up interested people in a somewhat random way, and you would then have a week to take, edit, and post shots.
Obviously, for this to work, you need to be happy exchanging decent sized image files with whoever gets randomly selected to partner you. If you don't want to put your email address out there, you can use mine (in my profile) to exchange details with your partners when they're announced. Assuming you can decipher it, of course :)
Please exchange images by *next* Sunday (23rd Feb.) and then make the edits any time from when you receive your partner's file and the following Sunday (2nd March), and tag them with edit-exchange1 :)
@clairelouise I think that's a really good question. I prefer to start my editing process with RAW files and I know not everyone does.
I think this would be interesting if I was paired with someone who uses Photoshop. It would be cool to then swap PSD's after the editing and be able to see the workflow and kind of how they did the edit and vice versa. That could be very educational. SHOW ME THE LAYERS! lol
Sounds good to me, I'm in. I do agree with @jenteal though. You need to lay down some rules about what format a picture is to be given. I would hate to send someone a big Raw file only to find that they are able to edit it because they don't have suitable software or being expected to edit a picture that is very small and low resolution.
Would this have an open-ended time frame, or would it be limited to X number of trades per partner? Sounds like it might be fun, but it would be good to know the rough duration of the game.
I ask as I dont have the equipment to shoot in raw... I also use online apps to do my editing as I have a mega old laptop that doesnt want to run anything half decent.
Maybe ill have to sit the first few out until I can come across some new equipment.. :)
I'd be really interested in joining this challenge, but only if it doesn't have too many rules and regulations... (they drive me nuts!!!)
(and it might be nice to remember that those of us in "out of the way" countries and towns sometimes have rather bad internet connections... my whole pc would crash if someone sent me a HUGE file (anything more than 10MB)!
