Hiya! I won a challenge! :) So I get to host this time around...
For those of you who need a refresher or have never played this is how the challenge goes:
1. Go to Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Main_Page) and hit "random article" on the left. The first random Wikipedia article you get is the name of your band.
2. Go to The Quotations Page (http://www.quotationspage.com/) and hit "random quotes" on the left. Scroll down. The last 4-6 words of the very last quote on the page is the title of your album.
3. Now go find a photo that fits your album! (Remember covers are usually square.)
4. Use your favorite editing program to create your cover. You can use any image of yours for the album, old or new, but you must use your own images.
5. Enter your album(s) in the challenge by tagging it with “albumcoverchallenge22”
The challenge will run from Thursday, February 6th, until Wednesday February 12th at midnight, MST. All entries must be posted between now and then. There's no limit to the number of entries you can make; just be sure to tag them as instructed above.
On February 13th I'll choose the top 5 entries for your voting - the entry with the most votes wins, and the winner gets to host Album Cover Challenge 23.
You can share your entries with the rest of us by posting them on this thread, but don't forget to tag then as well!
@hopess13 Right?? It is a good band name. I was thinking this method works pretty good. @la5ell has a good band name too. Queens of Chaos? I had to google that to see if it wasn't already a band name.
I had so much fun with the last album contest, couldn't wait to stab at it again:
Mitsuru Sakurai .... is a Japanese politician of the Democratic Party of Japan
quote: The true mystery of the world is the visible, not the invisible. ... Oscar Wilde
Going to try this for the first time. This should be interesting. I'm actually quite surprised at how well the Wikipedia article and random quote fit together!
Band: Deltabreen
Album: Wrecking the Unsalvageable
Fixed it
Band: Smoothing Plane
Album: The Well Worn Path
(although since I can use the last 4 to 6 words, it could be Off the Well Worn Path)
Band: Laverstroke Park Farm
Album: I am best and will hear me
Not sure that album title even makes sense with 7 words, didn't with 4, that's for sure!
Band: Penny Valentine
Album Whether You Like It or Not
Looking forward to playing with this.
Band: Queens of Chaos
Album: Remember how well you did it.
Band - Discrete Orthogonal Polynomials
Album - a word for sushi: Bait
Remember How Well We Did It by Queens of Chaos...umm, yeah!
Album – Bad enough I can have it
"Curse of the Drinking Class"
This could be very interesting.
"MLS Caribbean Combine" and "Know too much about the problem".
Now that is food for thought.
Mitsuru Sakurai .... is a Japanese politician of the Democratic Party of Japan
quote: The true mystery of the world is the visible, not the invisible. ... Oscar Wilde
but for my first challenge I got
Sheath and Knife - band name
Greatness not to be exact - album cover title
Of Quite a Different Kind
Be a little kinder than necessary.
Spital Tongues
Because They Have No Words
Band: Nishihara
Those Who Dream Only By Night
Day I Forgot
A Little Kinder than Necessary
Band: Kristen Bell
