The 55th Album Cover Challenge

October 25th, 2015
Hello Fellow Photo Enthusiasts!

I was delighted to learn that my photo had been chosen for the 54th Album Cover Challenge, though a little intimidated as well. I'd only participated in one other challenge (long ago) and though I was flattered to have been selected as a finalist, I was relieved not to win so that I wouldn't have to host the next challenge! LOL! Well I am getting over that, I hope.

Thanks to those who participated in the last challenge. I hope you will continue to do so. And I hope that more of you will weigh in to this round with both your submissions, comments and votes. So here we go!

I love this challenge because it's a little bit of ETSOOI, a little bit of WWYD, rolled in to one.

Here's how the album cover challenge works:

1. Go to Wikipedia and choose the link for "Random Article" on the top left side of the page. The first random Wikipedia article you get is the name of your musician(s) or band.

2. Go to Quotations Page and choose "Random Quotes" from the left menus. Scroll down to the end of the page. The last 4 to 6 words of the very last quote on the page are the title of your album.

3. Next, find or take a photo of yours that fits the album name and artist(s). Album covers are square, so don't forget to crop it.

4. Then, use your favorite editing program to create your cover (or, if you don't have one, Ace members have free access to picmonkey.com -- and there are many other free programs out there). You can use any image of yours for the album, old or new, but you must use your own images and do all processing for the cover during the time frame of the challenge.

5. You can enter multiple times.

6. Tag your entries “albumcoverchallenge55

In addition to tagging your image, please post your album to this thread, too. It helps keep this thread alive. That means it will show up on the discussion lists to the right of the home page. It also helps bring in more participants!

To post a photo on this thread:
1) Go to your page that has the photo you would like to post.
2) Click on the three dots (...) just below the bottom right of your picture. Find the 'Embed Code' box and right click on it to copy it, then paste it to this thread.

Timeframe
The timeframe for Challenge 55 is two weeks beginning Sunday, 25th of October and ending on Sunday 8th of November. All entries must be between those dates.

If you have any questions or need help getting started, just post to this thread. I hope to see a lot of album covers! *steeples fingers and grins wickedly*

Artist : Gavin Mikhail
Title: Take care of themselves

Gavin is an actual living musician...

full quote is very long.
I'm sure a lot of you had this experience when you're changing. You're growing as a person and people tend to treat you like you were 18 months ago, and it's really frustrating sometimes when you're growing up and you're more capable. It's the same thing with a company and the press. The press is going to have a lag time. The best thing we can do about the press is embrace them and do the best thing we can to educate them about our strategy. But to keep our eye on the prize, that is turning out some great products. the press and the stock prize will take care of themselves.

Schloss Altenstein is a Schloss or palace upon a rocky hill on the south-western slope of the Thuringian Forest, not far from Eisenach, Thuringia, Germany. It was the summer residence of the Dukes of Saxe-Meiningen, and is surrounded by 160 hectares (1.6 square kilometres) of English landscape garden, which contain, among other objects of interest, an underground cavern, 300 metres long, through which flows a large and rapid stream.

We can’t let our insecurities own or destroy us. We have to face them head-on. That was part of the challenge that motivated me to take this journey. I wanted to see what I could do and, more important, I wanted to understand everything that was holding me back.
