I am excited to host the next Mundane Challenge. Thank you all your support and thank you @kategoring for being such an awesome and inspiring host for the last challenge!
The new subject I have chosen for the Mundane challenge is GEARS. It was hard to think of something that wasn't already chosen, that's easily accessible to everyone, and that has the ability to be really varied. I finally settled on gears. Be creative, I'm excited to see all the different types of gears you can find and how you interpret them!
The gears could be from any object, just make sure there is no question that they are the main subject of the photograph. Feel free to use any photographic technique you choose.
You may enter multiple photographs just make sure they are taken within the time frame of the challenge.
Use the tag mundane-gears to see other photos already entered for the challenge.
This challenge will start today December 13th and will run until midnight EST time on December 27th. Voting will start on the 28th and the winner will be announced on the 1st of the new year!
Good luck to all, please post entries here to encourage and inspire others to enter the challenge.

@elytra - It is a toy egg beater that my wife got when she was a little girl. You turned the little red handle in the photo and the large gear turned the two smaller gears which turned the two whips.
Great choice. That should be fun to do.
