Congratulations Sally for a terrific winning ETSOOI submittal!! Many thanks to all who participated and to those who voted in a contest decided by a single vote. Sally, a busy lady here on 365, is hosting another challenge and therefore I’ve agreed to host ETSOOI-61.
ETSOOI is an acronym started by MaryBeth @espyetta. It means EDITING THE SORRY-NESS OUT OF IT, or EDITING THE STUFF OUT OF IT, or EDITING THE S*&^% OUT OF IT (Your own interpretation, of course!). It was meant to be a processing strategy to use when your "photo of the day" was boring as it was or for those who simply enjoy highly processing their photos. Use any editing program you like, the more the merrier! Be creative, and have fun!
For this challenge lets go with one of my favorite themes, reflections. Either take a photo with an inherent reflection and edit that or create a reflection in your editing program as I did in my Screw City Skyline. This should be fun and maybe get some to explore a technique not used previously. (Hint: copy a region within your photo and paste it back into the photo, flipping it and adjusting the opaqueness until it appears to be a reflection)
The challenge will start Thursday, January 7 and, will conclude on Saturday. January 16 at midnight New York time. I'll set up the voting by Tuesday the 19th.
You are free to enter as many shots as you like, the only rule being that your shot must have been taken within the time frame. The winner will have the honor and pleasure of hosting the next ETSOOI challenge.
All pictures must be tagged ETSOOI-61.
