Technique Challenge - #64 - FORCED PERSPECTIVE

November 2nd, 2016
Thank you for the votes and compliments on my red shirt technique63 photo, it was such a quick shot as I'm not that good at street photography so was amazed that I won but I am so excited at running this next challenge, hope you'll have fun and join in in this challenge!

I don't know if this technique has been used before but it seems like a lot of fun!

For this next Technique Challenge, I am choosing "Forced Perspective Photography".

Forced perspective is definitely a fantastic technique subject - I just posted one yesterday - always a bit of fun looking for the 'perfect' subject!

I am excited by this challenge, but I have just tried to make something look bigger than it is and I have found it harder than I anticipated.
Here is my problem, I have the object close to the camera and object far away from camera. I have lined them up nicely, but then how do you focus on 2 objects. Everytime I take a shot one of them is blurred because it either focuses on the front or the back object. I have tried fiddling with the apeture but I still can't get it right. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

@emma78 Sometimes you have to be a little further away from the closest object so you can an "infinity" focus, not a shallow depth of field. Other things that might help is adjusting your f-stop to a higher number, like an f/16, if you can, this will give you a deeper depth of field.
