i was so thrilled to win the last round of this challenge - many thanks indeed to all of you who voted for my gerhard richter apples (and one rogue nectarine) ...
i've found it a real challenge to come up with an artist that will appeal to lots of 365-ers, and in the end i'm going with martin parr, a british photographer who may appeal to some :) i like the fact that his images nearly always tell a story, something that i often wonder about with my own shots. he isn't afraid to shoot the ugly, the drab, the eccentric, the surreal ... all of which floats my boat. all human life is here. he does a lot of street shots, so you brave street freaks can feel right at home, as well as some staged portraits
list of all artists used to date : https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1CfwEEyozvaxNDcRB3r8_xxyznNKIc7O1E1GdP9FUFKQ/edit#gid=0
it can be interesting for the rest of us if you reference or give some indication of the style or image from martin parr's portfolio that has inspired your entry
NOTE: you can submit as many entries as your albums can hold as long as the entries were taken or purposely processed within the time frame ... oh, and talking of the time frame, the challenge starts now and will close at midnight gmt on friday 3 feb. i will then select five finalists and you will get to vote for the winner ...
What an odd (but intriging) collection of images!
I will try & have a go at some food I think - unless I see any oddities out and about at the weekend!
