This is totally new and ONLY ONE DAY - COLOUR - PURPLE. March 26th is PURPLE SHIRT DAY.
On 26th, March it's Epilepsy Day - better known as Purple Shirt Day - It's a great cause & thought just for the day if everyone would be interested in doing a themed day of purple shirts, outfits, suits, skirts... well you get the idea. Get a photo of you or somebody you know dressed in purple. It would get the world to understand Epilepsy better. There are so many people out there, let's bring it to the fore for the one day :)

I'll be in it for that day... I did bring it up in another one; but I'm not sure if anyone was interested. So, I'll be into it; even if nobody else is.
I am going to show the site to my students tomorrow and see if I can get them all (86) to wear purple on Friday...then take a picture of them for my picture of the day :) I try to not only teach them reading and writing, but also lessons in life and to care for others....
I don't have anything purple...wish I did. My son has had Epilepsy for 26 years. In fact he had seizures so badly that his neurologist had him disabled 10 years ago. His seizures are sort of under control now, at least the grand maul ones are, he still has an abundance of petite ones which is a blessing. Maybe I'll go out and buy something purple.
@Dianne: Well, this is exactly why this day has been set up. People don't see how many people this disability has affected. And seeing how long it has taken for me to have mine completely under control, and how much I had to give up to get here, Loey5150 and myself think this is a great thing we should all do.
Even if you borrow a purple shirt off somebody for the day, it will suffice. And then buy one for next year.
Okay... I have a great suggestion to make this day really take off.
I've contacted Epilepsy Queensland and told them what we're doing and I thought if we tagged our photos with 'Purple Shirt Day' it would make it easier to find our photos and see how many of us took part.

Small correction if I may. You need to put PURPLE SHIRT DAY inside of quotes or you will end up with a tag with three words 'PURPLE' 'SHIRT' and 'DAY'.....soooooo.
I think you should tag it as PURPLE_SHIRT_DAY (one word that way) or use quotes "PURPLE SHIRT DAY"

I'll try to wear the one purple shirt that I own after I get off work, but you probably won't see a picture of me here, but I'll try to get a picture of someone in purple to post here.
I don't own a purple shirt, but I'm going to the White Sox/Diamondbacks Spring Training game today. Maybe I'll try my hand @ a collage if I can find enough in the crowds :)
