Winner of Sky-110 Perspective challenge

December 6th, 2020
The winner of the Sky-110- Perspective challenge is Nick. This photo was also my choice as the best in the entries. I appreciated the detail of the photo as well as the thought and care in he invested in producing a great shot. Congratulations Nick!!! You are up next to host this challenge.

“Cabin with Stars” Nick @Nick_in_nic

Nick explained:

I was practicing long exposures tonight - still can't quite get sharp focus
--was encouraged to enter this into the technique-110-sky group ~ here goes!
--I did get some better (better focused) shots later the same night. I ended up shining lights on the cabin so I could see what I was focusing on and then turning the lights off for the shot. I played around a bit with lights on in different rooms and then discovered I could back-light the cabin with some back porch lights which also caught the trees.

Great entry, and Congratulations to Nick!

that said, he doesn't seem to be on 365 anymore (no posts since 11/24 and @nick_in_nc doesn't seem to work. I haven't seen Technique-110 open, is there a "Plan B"?

@lsquared - I really like the technique challenges, I'd hate for them to come to an end. I know a while back, the winner of a macro challenge left the site after winning, and someone just stepped in and started a new one.

I have an idea for a new technique challenge, but I don't want to step on anyone's toes if they want to host it instead.
@joesweet, @nick_in_nc -- any objections?

I'll start one tomorrow if I don't hear otherwise.
