Here is the challenge. Make a photograh based on a famous artist. (Feel free to go beyond just copying an artist's work) The next artist we will use as inspiration is Andy Warhol.
The next artist challenge will have a different artist.
Five finalist's work will be chosen and posted. The 365 community will choose a winner from this group of five by voting.
To participate please include "theme-warhol" as a tag, and a single sentence describing how your photograph is related to the artist's work. You may begin at midnight EST tomorrow, but seven days later at midnight the challenge will be closed. Only work done from April 3 to April 10. will be accepted.
(It would be fun to put a copy of the pic in this thread. Might even help others.)
I was actually pretty flattered by all the comments on this one including a huge compliment as it being compared to the work of Warhol a fantastic artist I have always admired so that being said this is my submittal:

@nikkers I wondered why I'm seeing a lot of Warhol portraits. I was thinking of doing this for a 67 yr old co-worker who is retiring soon. Here I am thinking that everybody in this side can probably read my mind. Hahaha!
Great idea! I love it! I better start practicing!
@smapp well it's not the obvious, or the uber-famous Warhol. But if people know that painting...they'll know how perfect it is! (so esoteric, maybe, but for the theme? Perfection :D )
@mlassiter125 to upload a Warhol image, you have to have it in one of your albums and then you go to the 'share' field on the left of the page of the said image, click on the photo code and then copy it and paste it here. Hope that is what you wanted to know how to do and that this is clear enough.
if you dont have a edit program, then you can download some free from online..

Unintentional Warhol, lol. I tried to rescue a less than great photo by playing around with it and making it a bit Warhol like. Then I came here and discovered this theme!
@petervanallen LOVE YOUR CRUSHED CAN!!! brilliant. Everyone will interpret differently, but for me it says crush the big those big corporates that don't care about the world and recycle!! That appeals to me a lot. However, it is great in itself, very stylish.
@annamaker
My Star Magnolia above, white flower on blue background, was taken March 30th and is therefore not in this competition. I'm enjoying all the Warholish shots!
Everyone had done such a great job with their Warhol shots.. Remember to get your Warhol in before Sunday. Will post top five for voting on Monday... :)
