So someone suggested this earlier and I thought I would set it up. If it is popular then I may set it up as a competition rather than a challenge. (I would pick one book a week) So lets start this off.
Hey in worrying about copyright issues with using actual books, I thought of something. Would you be open to changing your post to say that we pick a random name from this name generator to use as the author name? Name Generator
And a random book title by this book title generator?: Book Title Generator
@eyebrows you can always call the book "Gatsby the Great", which is the story of a little bear boy in the woods who has great dreams of being a ballerina in the travelling cirucus.
@amyhughes@brumbe sadly my beastly nature prevents me from ever fulfilling the dream ;_; I shall have to obtain this book and engage in a spot of cathartic indulgence
@demetriceanntia Whoo! We have a cover! This is awesome. I really think we should get everyone to make up the other stuff you made up too like the genre and the blurb etc. :)
@sobefree@amyhughes so thanks to Amy for the ideas and to you for putting it inot action - good ideas are only good ideas when shared and bought alive! great teamwork guys! :o) this is gunna be really cool
"This book is a haunting tale of a Chinese poet on his escape from his home country because of the political nature of his poems. Read how he has to learn to trust again in new and hostile surroundings after he has lost everything he ever loved..."
@marinda Yeah exactly, I'm not sure if the book cover challenge is ready yet though. Maybe you should trial run the competition with the album cover challenge first as that is more popular :)
