Tips for circus photography?

I'm going to the circus tonight and just thinking about my photography. Do you have any tips for circus photography? Thanks!

super fast last, high ISO, manual exposure. try to wait for the performers to freeze their action for a moment, then grab the shot. I used a 70-200mm f/2.8 lens for my last circus, and it wasn't fast enough. think f/1.4 or f/1.8. watch how the light plays with the performers at different positions, and camp out on on of those points of view.

I used manual exposure settings for this photograph to avoid the 'day time' light that the camera wants to shoot in, allowing me a much faster and more dramatic shot. I caught her just as she froze her movement for about a second:

Don't clown around. Sorry, I think auto iso may be a good idea to try. Remember, a noisy photo is better than a blurry one.
