Okay, so! I was searching the web, in search of good film-emulation software and came across this amazing (and FREE) plugin for Gimp. It has so many presets and film emulators, it is insane! I've become SO obsessed with it, and felt the need to share it with all of you! Here is the list of presets that come with the "G'mic" plugin : http://blog.patdavid.net/2013/09/film-emulation-presets-in-gmic-gimp.html -. And here is the download for the G'mic for Gimp plugin itself : http://gmic.sourceforge.net/gimp.shtml -. As I said, I fell COMPLETELY in love with this freeware, and just thought I would share the joy! ~Meghan
I use Gimp for most of my pictures. Even after raw processing, I use it at least for final touch. And I love the film emulation package. Thanks for spreading it.
I would buy some other programs too, like the mentioned DxO Film emulation, but it is not for my system (Linux, Ubuntu) available.
@pearl888 brilliant find meghan... I use gimp ... Googled monochrome conversion found gmic and then found this thread.... Will dowload tonight cannot wait to start using it. Thanks . Phil
@wayoflife@phil_howcroft Yes, I have the DxO film pack 3, and I do like that; But G'mic has a much larger amount of presets. So glad I could share this with you! I really love the program.

It costs money though so this might be a better option.

I would like to see some comparison.
