Heeyy so like ive just joined this, and like well i want to be able to take shots of traffic when the lights are all streaked together (not sure of the technical name) but anyways, do you need to have a certain option thing on your camera for it ? because i dont a have a great camera just a cheapy digital one :l any ideas ? (:
ahh, yuss im rubbish at explaining things. :L umm you know sometimes you'll see pictures of the city and the highway, and like the headlights on the cars are all blurredd together as with the street lights ? that kinda thing :L If you get mee ? (:
The trick is to get the shutter to stay open as long as necessary to get what you want. You will need to use M (manual control), then you can have a small aperture (that extends the time because less light gets in), set a low number ISO (the lower the number the better the quality, but the longer it takes to get it) then put the camera on a solid surface and set the time value to say... 1 second and and take a few experimental shots increasing and decreasing the time until you get what you want.
If you find you're wobbling the camera by pressing the button, try setting it to 'time delay' shooting.
If so, you need to shoot in manual mode. The settings were: f/22, 44/1, ISO-100
If you find you're wobbling the camera by pressing the button, try setting it to 'time delay' shooting.
Hope this helps.
@graham this shall help me thanks. :D
