DIY Ring Light for Portraits

My dad made me another DIY Portrait light and I have been asked some questions about it...so here you go :)

It looks like this finished and on a flash stand:

My dad uses some different products and kept the price down around $80 for the bulbs, sockets, cord, board and connector for the stand

He backed the whole thing to cover the cords between the sockets and this added a nice rail around the side to wrap the cord in.
