Tips for Sydney

February 1st, 2015
Hi peeps, going to be in Sydney for a few days, 13th-18th Feb, it woudl be interesting to know of the sorts of things that I should be looking at, that is other than the normal touristy things one finds in Tour guides etc. I am going to be provided with a "guide", but I just know that this "guide" will want to show me all of the things that I don't really want to see, i.e. the real Sydney, the seedier side of Sydney, what makes the place tick. Any advice would be more than welcome, if I go armed with a list that I want to fulfil the "guide" can be guided ;-)

I live just outside of Sydney...and I love taking photos in there...however, I cant help you too much with the 'real Sydney' but there is a few places that I love to shoot!!
- Kirribilli area...a perfect view of the bridge, opera house and the skyline..gorgeous old tree there...
-Luna Park...just around the corner from Kirribilli....has some really cute 'old school' rides there...
- Circular Key...very interesting characters around here...oh and there is often homeless sleeping around there...maybe that can be the 'real sydney'...
- a ferry ride to darling harbour or Watsons bay...
-taronga zoo has amazing views...dont miss out on the bird show..
-st Marys cathedral is beautiful...im not to sure whether you can go inside jt...
- Queen Victoria building has shops in it but it is very pretty inside..
- if you are willing to spend some $$ to get views of the harbour..go up centre point tower...
Sorry, I've rambled on!! Hopefully it gives you some ideas on where to go..i look forward to seeing the photos!!
