It is very windy here today and I wanted to capture this Still being winter, i did not have nice branch motion, so I went with a collage.
ANy suggestions on how else to do it?
@sdpace I thought of that, but a flag can wave at lower speeds. Today we are having gusts in excess of 60 mph (100 km/h); so it is the more extreme winds I want to capture.
@parisouailleurs@hjbenson Helene, those leaves are great! I made my boyfriend blow some with a lead blower for me to shoot once :) Harry-Wow! 60 mph would probably be a serious mess for a flag. I didn't realize you meant VERY windy! Have you thought of putting something outside (like a bag or tissue paper or something) and trying to catch it in action? Also maybe someone with long hair would be good for a super windy portrait. :)
I did two wind photos this week, but was lucky to have a thrid of leaves spinning in the air and making shadows on the brick covered ground. But after seeing @parisouailleurs, mine did not do the wind justice.
The only time I've managed it was with a willow tree.
And just to really prove my point I provided a link to a photo of that tree on a calmer day. http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/3r7nAN8LEnDoIa5Yab9F8g?feat=directlink
I would like to thank everyone for their replies and photos on how they did it. For the future I have many ideas to try and find the one that works for me. Again thank you.
