I am currently using a Lexar multi-use SDHC 8 GB memory card with my Nikon Coolpix P100. When I first started using this card, I had some problems which seemed to sort themselves out. Today, I took a few photos (maybe 5) and put the camera away for a few hours. I then went outside and took 11 photos, 4 of which are coming up as just a white screen.
In about two weeks, I have some events coming up that I want to make sure to photograph. Is there a better memory card that someone could suggest so that this problem will not happen again?
sounds like a dodgy card... have you regularly reformatted it on the camera? There's a few various tips online to lessen the odds of it happening. I've used sandisk compact flash card for years nearly all the time, and is never let me down, unlike my lexar! I used one again the other day and lost 30% of the images, so it went into the bin.
@blightygal
I have never formatted it on the camera. When I got it, I opened the package, popped it in and started using it. I'll have to look into that. Thanks! I will also look into sandisk cards, which I believe I used before on my old camera.
Thanks again!
I am using a Transcend 32g sdch class 10 and a PNY 8g professional SDHC Class 10, gotta say I like the 8g better than the 32. The 2 Lexars that I tried to use gave me a hard time, never worked consistently. BUT if you have the money buy a Sandisk, way better quality and consistency for the most part, they are just a tad pricier.

Thank you both for taking the time to answer my question. I will be looking into investing in sandisk.
Thanks Kathy!
