Camera Clip System

June 26th, 2011
Hi all!
With so many of you on-the-go photogs out there, I saw this today and thought of you all! My husband is really interested in the whole kickstart project and so we helped fund a lens cap holder from one person on there. I'm excited to get it.

This is a cool camera clip system. I can't see myself using it as often as I would probably like to, but I bet some of you might. :)

(No, I am in no way related to this guy. I just thought it was cool. Watch the video! I bet you'll think it's cool, too.)

This is pretty awesome! He's obviously got something that people want, judging by the pledges. I think we might definitely consider this. It's definitely marketed well.

Looks a bit like the Spider clip system, but probably better by a fair margin. I've always avoided holster/clip systems because they don't help if you drop your camera. I'll wait to see what the tether add-on for this one is before I consider it any further, but I'll certainly keep my eye on it.

I've been using Black Rapid straps for a while now and currently use the RS-4 version. http://www.blackrapid.com/product/camera-strap/rs-4/ I've been very happy with it, but it isn't perfect by any means. It's great because it doesn't swing around in front, and because it prevents the camera getting damaged if you drop it, but it doesn't immobilise the camera like this Capture system. It is also incredibly quick to "draw" the camera up to eye level - much quicker than any other strap I've used, and certainly faster than unclipping it from the belt. I'm thinking a combination of the two systems (main camera on an R-strap, and second camera on a Capture) might be perfect! But then, there is the double R-strap.....

@mtol Thanks so much for this link! Just pledged so I can get one. I've been struggling with my camera while hiking this summer and wishing I had some solution. This is perfect!
