If you give them the link to you, then they can see everything about your account except the stats. For example, they can click on albums, and see all of your albums, or on your followers, whatever. That is how my most faithful follower - my mother - does it.
They can't comment unless they are a member here, though. I have seen several people on here with no profile/photos/etc but who commented on anothers photos. So personally I don't see anything wrong with them setting up an account to do that either, and who knows maybe they will get the bug!
@dmariewms He did do that not too long ago. I don't know all of the criteria he used but I think it was mentioned that length of time since last login was a factor. I suppose if a person put something to the effect of they were here to follow/comment on a specific users album he would probably understand. Also the point of the purge was to free up server space and get rid of the photos that no one used or looked at anymore. I don't think an account with no photos and a minimal or non-existent profile would take up whole lot of space either.
