I took my camera out (of course) while walking to the local supermarket to buy something to cook for dinner. I had another go at doing some panning shots - quite liking this one.
Lots of action here but the rear wheel looks stationary. Is it trickier to catch a cyclist than a car - it must be tricky with a cyclist where the parts move independently...
@robz I guess with a lot more moving parts, most of those parts will be out of focus, but I guess with panning you have to have something that is in focus or recognisable, with the background well blurred. Of course it is a bit hit and miss and you don't get a 100% hit rate for getting an image that is ok.

I think with a slow shutter, the idea is to keep the camera panning at the same speed as the moving object and then press the shutter while doing so.
