My husband just retired (medical reasons, unfortunately) as Fire Marshal in our town. He was with the FD for 30 years! He LOVED his job; LLLOOOOVVEDDD it. It's rather tragic.... but he will be back there soon as a very part time volunteer to help with training, and anything they need. I am still their photographer, so be on the lookout for fire-related photos from me, too :)
@littleconnie Yes Connie - thank goodness for that! @fujiguy Thanks James - I really liked the way the smoke was highlighting the firemen. @merrelyn Thanks Merrelyn, a bit of good from something rather unfortunate! Could have been much worse. @teresamaro Thanks Teresa, I rather like the story it tells. @happypat He must have lots of stories to tell, glad he loves it. My son is in the police force and he loves it too. Special people. @alinz That's fabulous, the country needs volunteers like that. They do a great job. @sonorobyn Oh wow Robyn, will look out for fire related photos. So awesome that he loved his job, and hopefully he can get back there soon. Sorry he had to retire. @777margo Thanks so much Margo.
It tells such a story - I hope no one was hurt! But they will be very upset about their bike. The fire chief with the smoke behind him has such character.
