Pounamu (greenstone / jade)

For those who were wanting to see the piece of greenstone I shaped, here it is. I really love the colour of it. It is sitting on raw unworked pieces of greenstone of all shapes and sizes. We could choose our piece from these bits then work out what we wanted to make. I decided on a simple teardrop shape for ease of working with. I also learned how to plait the string with a 4 way plait. My tutor tied it all together. It took about 4 hours to make.
This is really beautiful. Greenstone has such a warmth about it.

Gorgeous. Love the colours. Do you like the fact that Greenstone is always cold to touch
