2015 June 14: The plants in our newest raised bed garden are flourishing! We have a nicely-productive mixture of squash, basil, peppers, and flowers; today they have grown to be as beautiful as I imagined they would when we planted them.
@texastrails Thanks! I have a lot more success - and a lot less weeding! - with my raised beds ...I think that you would enjoy trying this type of gardening.
@dolphin Molly, thanks for your comment -- and that's terrible that your raised bed isn't performing well! Would love to know what went wrong when you figure it out; I'm having to add calcium and amend the soil in my older ones, but all the plants seem to be doing fine.
