2015 August 7: Our yuccas have been blooming for quite a bit of the summer, so I was happy to see a couple of bloom-stalks still covered in beautiful white flowers.
I like the "tropical" look of yuccas and find them to be a fascinating plant: The only insect that pollinates them is the yucca moth; while yuccas are the only plants on which the yucca moth larvae can feed. It is interesting to find a plant and an insect mutually dependent upon each other for survival.
