2015 November 1: Each year on November 1 we go to the grocery store to buy half-price candy ...We usually buy enough to last us until Christmas!
This year the day after Halloween coincided with the time change from Daylight Saving Time to Standard Time. For the first time ever I made the mistake of turning my clocks forward rather than backward (forgetting the "Spring Forward, Fall Backward" slogan that always keeps me straight).
So we arrived at the store bright and much earlier than intended. We had a wonderful pick of the sale candy, and looked through it wondering where everyone else was ...until we happened to realize that we were now two hours ahead of the correct time! At least we finally got first pick of the candy this year and came home with a very nice selection!
