2016.02.22 Monday: Every day we see signs of an early arrival of spring: The grass is greening; Eastern bluebirds are already nesting; and slumbering plants are already pushing up through the soil.
Each day while I walk around our yard, I have checked our Lenten rose hellebore for any signs of blooms ...It is usually one of the first plants to bloom each spring. Up until today I have noticed that the foliage was greener by the day, but didn't notice any sign of flowers.
Today, however, I found that three gorgeous flowers were gracing our hellebore! Odd the way that they appeared overnight -- but what an awesome wonder of nature!
And it looks like you have a little visitor on that plant too. I loved your thoughts about this picture and when you combined Lent and 3 blooms, I immediately thought, "Father, Son, and Holy Spirit". Beautiful shot!
