2018.04.01 Sunday: Whether you celebrate Easter/Resurrection Day or not, I hope that all of my 365 friends had a wonderful day today!
I had a wonderful day feasting with my family -- enjoying our usual Easter meal, with chocolate bunnies and candy eggs for dessert. I was happy that our dogwood trees picked today for their beautiful blooms to open ...I always associate Dogwoods with Easter.
According to "The Legend of the Dogwood" (which is just a nice poem), the four petals of the dogwood flower represent the Cross; the middle of the flower represents the crown of thorns; the edge of each petal represents a nail dent; and each nail dent is stained with the color of Jesus' blood. Although there is no Biblical basis for this, it is a nice poem.
