View of the Radcliffe Camera

Lester and I went to Oxford for lunch and a wander today. It had been rather cloudy here in the morning but the skies cleared in the afternoon and the light was lovely.
The Camera is that round building on the right. It houses the reading rooms of Oxford University's Bodleian Library. You can see a cake model of it here :- http://365project.org/dulciknit/on-the-day-extr/2011-11-17
I'm quite pleased with this shot because, for some reason I can't fathom, I can't usually make taking a shot in portrait format work the way I want it to.
Beautiful! You certainly get about don't you! I must go to Oxford one day, it looks beautiful. Lovely in B&W

Thank you for that view going down Brasenose Lane. It took me right back to my days there, which straight on views don't usually do.

The portrate orientation is perfect for this shot, as is the choice of black and white. But I know what you mean, portrate just doesn't seem to work on the pc, it appears so tiny on the landscape screen. If its on a laptop, I leave the image on its side and turn the laptop to view large!
