It's Lester's birthday today. We don't do anything special to celebrate our birthdays but we did go to our favourite tea room for a cuppa and a piece of cake on the grounds that it was slightly more healthy than having a whole birthday cake tempting us at home. :-) On the way home, Lester called in at the chemist's to collect his prescription and I took this while I waited for him.
Thursday is market day in the village/town of Wendover (its designation is the subject of an on-going, informal dispute between Wendoverians and non-residents :-) ). A couple of years ago the market looked as if it was failing but there has been an influx of new traders recently and, I'm happy to say, it's thriving once more.
The trees you can see in the background are on our bit of the Chiltern Hills.

First of all Happy Birthday to Lester. It looks a night bright day in this pic! A nice market scene, and like the backdrop of those tree covered hills too.
