A heron doing what birds often do on seeing someone with a camera!
Lester was busy with melodeon things today, so I went out for a while to Broughton, a hamlet outside Aylesbury. There's access to the Aylesbury Arm of the Grand Union Canal there.
I got a shot of this heron flying low in front of a horse in the field but my lens was at full stretch, and even then the heron was just too far away. Sadly, the shot was very grainy looking and using noise reduction in Paint didn't improve it.
I did manage to get this shot of it though :- http://365project.org/dulciknit/on-the-day-extr/2012-01-10
