One of those best on large view ones. :-)
Thank you for the kind, supportive comments on my angel shot yesterday, they are very much appreciated as are all the views, comments and faves I receive.
Lester and I had a day out in Gloucester today. It was brilliant! It was very bright, sunny and cold. We walked round the docks and visited the cathedral. The docks have been redeveloped and the warehouses are now des.res. appartment blocks but the character and feel of the area have been preserved well.
The cathedral is currently impersonating the old Palace of Westminster for the BBC's production of Shakespeare's Henry IV (both parts, I guess!). We saw Jeremy Irons - in full King Hal 4 costume, crown and all - getting a guided tour of the cathedral to fill in a bit of the time that actors spend waiting in costume while everything's set up for shooting.
Anyway, I spotted these fab. railings (they're actually wavy like that in real life - not edited ) in a street not far from the docks. I could have spent hours with them but it would have been very unkind to keep my very understanding husband waiting much longer! These 2 lads in hoodies walked by and obligingly made this shot for me. I was quite pleased with the result before editing but decided to posterise it for effect.
Critique welcome. Veteran 365er, 2011 vintage. Only posting occasionally and irregularly now.
I'm an abstract photography enthusiast but not exclusively so.
