Thank you for the views and comments. I'm always grateful to you for the time you take to look at/post on my shots.
Lester went out for a Last of the Summer Wine walk with friends today and I went back to Little Britain lake for a walk round.
Some of the swans were swimming in pairs and were beautiful to watch as they dipped their heads and curved their necks in deliberate and almost perfect synchronicity. Unfortunately I couldn't get an uncluttered shot of them but I thought these two were rather lovely even though what they were doing wasn't part of the ritual dance behaviour.
I'm late posting because I've been trying to calm down some of the over-lighted areas in the shot.
Critique welcome. Veteran 365er, 2011 vintage. Only posting occasionally and irregularly now.
I'm an abstract photography enthusiast but not exclusively so.

Love the way the ripples in the top of the pic distort the reflection of the right hand swan while the smooth water in the foreground reflects the other swan perfectly. Lovely composition.
Nice shot Alison. Exposure is a problem with swans in bright sunlight especially when backlit, but this looks pretty good to me and well worth the effort.
Little Britain Lake- reminded me of the TV show
