Pebble lane

I went into Aylesbury town centre this morning to run a couple of errands and spend a bit of time taking some photos.
This is a side street from the main shopping area to the church and the old part of town. There's a little grocer's there. The shop's very small so they put out their fruit and veg. against the opposite wall. There's no traffic apart from bicycles and the shop's own van.
I was trying to get the light and shade right without 'losing' the church.
Great street shot!

A nice composition.. We can dwell on the fruit and veg then the wall takes the eye down to the church.

Interesting shot with the different ethnic references. You did really well with the exposure. I'd have been tempted to try HDR as this is just the sort of situation where it is useful. But then you would loose the contrast of dark street and airy church.

@bigsusan55 I've found I need a tripod to do bracketed shots, I have too much camera shake to manage without, but this was a metering/exposure experiment.

@dulciknit Gorilla pods are useful as you can use them on a nearby lampost or anything else handy.
