Gareth went back home this morning (Sunday) and Lester and I spent the rest of the day quietly, doing our own things.
I went to the outskirts of Tring to take some photos of this scene.That's Ivinghoe Beacon that's lit up so dramatically in the distance, behind the trees. It's part of the Chiltern Hills.

This is just outside the town of Tring in the county of Hertfordshire, England. It's north west of London (and about 35 miles away from it).
I live in Wendover, Buckinghamshire and about 15 minutes' drive from this scene. We're much the same distance from London.
Buckinghamshire is long and thin and there are some places in the county I go to where I need to drive into Hertfordhsire and back out again in order to get to them!
