Probably better on large view if you have a moment. Thank you.
It looked very much like this lady was reading the notes off a mental image of the sheet music for the tune she was playing.
Taken at a very friendly music session we went to at The Fox, Chipping Norton. The regulars were very kind and allowed me to take photos, most of which turned out to be total rubbish, a lot of it of my own making. But the lighting was a bit of a nightmare (except maybe for here where it gave this lady some lovely catchlights in her eyes - every cloud has a silver lining) .On the other side of the room was an enormous cheese plant which put paid to any decent shots of a lady playing a wooden pipe! But mostly it was me making a bog of it. Never mind, tomorrow's another day and I'm now definitely older and hopefully wiser. Hindsight does have its uses and it seems that going out and making a total hash of things is A Good Thing when it comes to learning. Time will tell. Hey ho. :-)

It is so frustrating when you take a bucket load of shots and then realise you have cocked up, I actually have a degree in this now and do I learn? Nope! I don't half give myself some stern talking too's!
I like the concentration on both their face's
Don't know about those others, but this one is excellent! The lighting here is so nice. Indoor shooting is something that terrifies me for lighting so I can really understand your frustration.
I was thinking of using one of my spare albums for those Making A Hash Of... shots after a particularly fine one earlier this week. But I decided to spare the world that.
I agree with Matt @sabresun - she is lost in her music. It's such a lovely portrait of people doing something out of the ordinary and you should be so pleased with it that the rubbish shots don't matter! It gets a fav from me.
I sympathise Alison... I have days where it's like I've never had a camera in my hands before and everything turns out wrong..... And then you go back to basics and start again with renewed vigour! Like the heavenly body language of this lady, she is lost in the moment for sure!
