Walking on the boardwalk

Better viewed large if you have a moment. Thank you.

A bridge/boardwalky thing across the lake at the Savill Garden. Lester and I went there on Sunday. We have a new routine when we go there now - he goes off on his bike, I wander round and look at things (maybe take a few photos) and then we meet up for a cuppa and catch up with what we did. It means my poor, long-suffering husband gets some time off from hanging out with his camera junkie wife!

I spent some time sitting on a bench in the shelter watching the world go by. It was very peaceful and pleasant.

When you get loads of verticals like this and they're all out of kilter with one another which one do you straighten from? I went for the post that the lady's just about to walk past.
Great shot. All those lines!

Fabulous lines from every which way. Lady and the post certainly a good focus as eyes skittering all over the place when viewing! Great in b/w to really see those lines.

Fabulous lines here! Great that you both get to do what you want, and then meet in the tea rooms, perfect

Fantastic image! I do love all those lines and think you chose the correct post to straighten the shot...all those others can do with being off centre of the horizontal or vertical :)

I can see why you chose to sit here - all those lines and angles! Super shot!

Somebody had a great time designing the boardwalk! The best vertical to use is usually the one in the centre, as you have.

Wonderful capture! Looks great in B&W. Yes, I agree that many lines are challenging. I think you used the right vertical. The image makes sense the way you have aligned it. Well done!

Love this in B&W - you've made an ordinary shot something special by focusing on all the lines. Really like this.

Cool patterns with a nice relief at the back of the photo!

Beautiful capture. Love the patterns and the lady gives life to the shot. I too would have focused on the lady and the lines on her side.

Crazy lines - this is quite a challenge. B/w the right choice here as colour would be distracting.

I could easily join you here, this is lovely
