Snow melting on the branches of one of the shrubs in the flower bed. I tried hard to catch a drip as it fell but had to admit defeat when I realised I couldn't feel my fingers too well!
The title of the shot is taken from a folk song I like that was collected in Northumberland in 1821. I must knuckle down and learn it in the new year.

Amazing mini icicle! You certainly played well after your breakfast! Our snow has all but gone-thank goodness- the horses have been in all day, they'll be bonkers tomorrow!
