The Chinese house, Stowe by dulciknit

The Chinese house, Stowe

The paintings on the house show up a bit better on large view.
I think this is based on a Chinese tea house. The outside is covered in quite elaborate painted panels and the National Trust wraps the whole thing up for the winter months in an effort to preserve them.
Every time I've been there, the building has had swarms of flies buzzing round it. Goodness knows what attracts them to it!

Sweet little building, but the mind goes into overdrive imagining what might be inside to attract the flies!
