Last night was our first night back in our house and our first good night sleep in over a week. My son was so glad to be back home that he slept almost 12 hours straight which also meant a good night sleep for me and my husband. I woke up in the morning and was just thinking ‘Ahhhhh’. It was a sigh of relief after all of the stress, displacement and uncertainty. It was nice to be back in a routine. To come home to talk to our neighbors about how they and their children all dealt with the storm and the upheaval. It was great to be normal, to just make dinner and then spend time together in the family room. There really is no place like home.
